TomTom Map Share

TomTom’s unique Map Share technology enhances your navigation experience by allowing you to make instant changes directly to your map. You benefit from the thousands of updates and corrections made by TomTom users every day with access to these daily changes directly from the TomTom Map Share database.

Not only do you benefit from these updates and corrections but the new TomTom GO 9000 TRUCK Map Share functionality allows large vehicle drivers to add or change essential information like access restrictions for roads based on dimension and weight, all adding to the driver's ability to efficiently and effectively navigate the optimal route.

 

 

Driver Safety

Equipped with text-to-speech and voice address input, the TomTom GO 9000 TRUCK increases driver safety by reducing the frequency with which drivers need to look at the display during the journey.

It also features a Help-me menu and hands-free calling, the TomTom GO 9000 TRUCK further increases driver safety.

 

 

The Smartest Route

When calculating the best route, the TomTom GO 9000 TRUCK takes the special needs of large vehicles into account. It delivers routes that favour major roads, avoid sharp turns and reflect the lower speeds that trucks typically travel.

This means that wherever possible, large vehicle drivers can avoid small town roads and narrow residential areas. The routing also takes access route restrictions into consideration when the driver enters dimensions and weight in the personal truck profile.

The solution provides several types of maps display your vehicle fleet and order data:

2-Way Communication

The GO 9000 TRUCK solution allows your workforce to communicate via text messaging.  Your office can be in direct and immediate communication with your drivers in the most cost effective manner.  The solution allows messages, up to 500 characters in length, to be sent to one or multiple drivers.

Special status messages can also be created that allows your drivers to send standard status update information at the click of a button.  No matter what your communication requirements are, the GO 9000 TRUCK solution can be modified and adapted to suit your specific needs.

Order Management

A clear user interface with intuitive icons allows drivers  to report on their job status with a simple click, sending real-time information direct to their TomTom navigation device.

This allows the drivers to:

Working Times

Tracking and Tracing

The solution allows users to accurately monitor driver and vehicle efficiency and productivity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using real-time or stored data from their navigation device.

The positions of vehicles equipped with the GO 7000 / 9000 TRUCK are registered every ten seconds and the information is transferred to the online system every minute to allow users to monitor and track the vehicle or fleet on the map in real-time.

GO 9000 TRUCK offers the ability to ID your vehicles, create reports, view locations, addresses and routes driven which are all essential aspects of managing your fleet efficiently and effectively.

What are LIVE Services?

Added to this is the rising cost in fuel that can make even the shortest journey time consuming and costly. TomTom LIVE Services provides a real-time connection direct to your drivers and vehicles, providing them with the latest route information, fuel prices, weather etc., saving your business and your workforce time, money and stress.

How do LIVE Services work?

TomTom LIVE Services are 'live connected' services. Information and updates for each service - such as the latest traffic information or weather forecasts, are sent directly to the GO 9000 or using the LINK 300 sent on the GO 7000. There is no need to activate anything or to connect a mobile phone to your navigation device, simply get on the road and let your device do the rest.

TomTom HD Traffic

Get the most up-to-date traffic information available for your route, live on your TomTom LIVE device with TomTom HD (High Definition) Traffic. Your drivers receive detailed incident reports which include information regarding the length and reason for the delays, alternative route proposals as well as accurate journey duration and arrival times.

TomTom HD Traffic is a fully automated solution which is supported by the most comprehensive information sources and covers 95% of UK Motorways and A-roads. It is updated every 3 minutes directly to your LIVE device ensuring that you have instant and accurate information at your fingertips.

 

 

Safety Alerts

As the volume of vehicles on the road has increased so has the pressure to go faster. Drivers need to be more safety conscious in order to keep up with the increasing demands placed on them under these potentially hazardous conditions. Having access to information regarding dangerous zones, fixed and mobile safety cameras and black spots is imperative. With TomTom Safety Alerts, your drivers get advanced warnings in real-time to ensure that they arrive at their destinations safely, cost effectively and on time.

 

 

TomTom Fuel Prices

TomTom Fuel Prices is the only service on the market that sends current fuel prices directly to your navigation device. It significantly reduces the potential cost of a journey by offering directions to the nearest and most competitive station, to ensure that your fuel costs are minimised.
